SOCCER TOUR to AUSTRALIA
SUMMER 2010

1996, '95, 94 Boys
1993, ’94, ’95, ’96 Girls

Sydney/Gold Coast & Great Barrier Reef

PSV Union FC is considering taking several competitive teams “Down Under” in the summer of 2010 on a soccer/sightseeing tour. We would like to take members of U13 & U15 Boys & Girls as well as the U16 girls team. Depending on interest levels, we may combine teams. Guest players are welcome and encouraged.

The tentative dates are between
July 30th – August 13th. (13 nights)

In 2008 PSV Union FC coaches Gary & Carine Ireland took the University of North Carolina Women’s Soccer team to Australia and New Zealand on a similar tour after their NCAA Championship winning season and enjoyed both wonderful sightseeing and great opposition (read about the tour) which gave the tour an ideal mix of high quality soccer and vacation. Although there is a sightseeing component of the tour, this is also a tour for elite level players who will be training regularly in preparation for the strenuous games they will play. Opposition will rival the top level teams/competition in the USA and the coaching will be of the highest caliber. Australian women’s soccer has experienced a huge improvement in recent years and is now considered a leader in women’s soccer.

Approximate Cost $3,350.00

Non-PSV Union F.C players are welcome to join the tour of predominantly PSV Union FC players. During previous U.K tours, each team was comprised of players from up to 5 different teams. Most went with a friend and some parents accompanied the tour party.

Each team will play approximately 4 games and receive world class coaching instruction with Australian Professional coaches as well as our club coaches while we explore the East Coast of Australiaby private 54-seater bus and plane. We will take 2 teams of 18 players. With 2 coaches and 1 manager per team, this leaves only 12 seats available for parents to accompany the team on the bus ride. If we have more parents/families interested we can hire more mini-buses/cars or simply rendezvous at destinations. The objective is to maximize the experience for all. We are hoping for as much parent participation as possible.

We welcome 6 parents for each team to travel with the group who wish to act as chaperones. If you have an interest in being one of thee parent chaperones, please contact us immediately. Email Admin

Parents who wish to travel independently are encouraged to do so and join the tour at their own leisure on their own itinerary and join us when possible. Players will share rooms and be chaperoned by volunteer parents and team managers.
