93G Gold Team Schedule - 2009

NEWS:

Important Union FC Forms - HERE

ABOUT THE TEAM:
top of page

PSV Union FC 93G Gold officially formed February 2005. In the Fall 2009 the team participated in CYSA Class 1, Division 1 as well as in the Silicon Valley Women's Soccer League. In mid-November the team will represent Northern California in the North vs. South Tournament. The team breaks for Winter on November 15th when most players will participate in HS soccer but will continue to meet every Saturday between 10 am-12 midday over the Winter period.

In the Spring of 2009 the team will participate in CYSA State Cup as well as (from) Las Vegas Showcase, Nomads and possible a North-West Tournament

Our emphasis is on high-level instruction and a serious and competitive, yet fun, training environment for dedicated players who want to learn to play at a higher level. We have an excellent group of players who are very committed and share a passion for the game.

The team receives many requests from interested players to tryout or join. True to Union F.C’s policy of loyalty to the players and the philosophy of player development over player recruitment, every player is given the opportunity to meet the ever increasing higher standards which the coaching staff and competition presents.

The 93G (U16 team) epitomizes what PSV Union FC represents: Continuous improvement at practice and at games. The secret to the teams continued success is that the same amount of emphasis is placed on developing technique (passing, dribbling, shooting, control) and tactical understanding and developing an interest and passion for learning than it does into winning games. The end result is winning is a bi-product of this philosophy.

This team is a great example to others. The players work hard, accept new and difficult challenges, show great resolve and determination and enjoys being pushed to new levels.

This is a year-round team, playing in the Fall (Aug-Nov) and Spring (Mar-May) leagues, and training and friendly games as well as NorCal Cup. We also train and play tournaments in the summer (June-July)

Most players also spend an additional day per week training in small groups and individually. Small Groups for this team will be conducted on Wednesdays and Fridays with occasional additional/optional sessions on the weekend.
