To all Clubs participating in the NorCal Fall League:
We are all looking forward to great competitive year. We at NorCal anticipate that the season will be highly competitive and therefore can lead to a very intense environment at times. Let's remember to make it as positive as possible for all involved.
Also, it is important that everyone involved in NorCal remembers that it is the development of excellent players and teams that is by far our major goal.
Most games - won or lost - are soon forgotten, but the soccer skills and discipline that are learned will continue to benefit the players well into adulthood.
I am asking all Clubs, teams, and coaches to remind your players and parents to be on their best behavior. As Club officials and coaches, remember it is our responsibility to keep all spectators in control. Please review the standards, rules, and sportsmanship page in the NorCal website. We are asking you to meet with your coaches, players and parents to remind them of the standards that NorCal has enforced and how that reflects on your Team and Club.
The league will enforce a ZERO tolerance for inappropriate behavior and will exercise its power to the fullest with teams and clubs that do not adhere to the highest standards of behavior. With your help, we expect all clubs, teams, parents and fans to exhibit the highest standard of sportsmanship. Again, please review these standards and educate those within your Club and Team.
Thank you for your consideration and have a great fall season.
Sincerely,
Alan Ramos
